Find Caldwell County Projected Release Dates

A Caldwell County projected release date answers “when will they be released” only after the kind of custody is known. A pretrial detainee may leave after bond or a court order and usually has no sentence-based date. A person serving a county sentence has a jail calculation, while a state prisoner has dates maintained by Missouri corrections. Each date must be read by its exact label. A minimum date, conditional release date, parole date, sentence end, and actual departure describe different events, and another hold can keep a person in custody.

Caldwell County Release Date Types

A projected date is a sentence calculation based on facts known at a given point. It is not the same as the moment someone walks out. For a person committed to the Missouri Department of Corrections, the record may show a minimum date, a maximum sentence date, a conditional release date, or a parole-related date. Staff must still apply later court changes, credit decisions, board action, release plans, and holds. The actual release record is created only when the custodian completes the custody event.

At the Caldwell County Detention Center, the first question is whether the person is pretrial or sentenced. A pretrial detainee has no sentence term from which to compute a projected release. Bond, recognizance, dismissal, a court directive, or case resolution may authorize release, but processing and other holds still control departure. A short county sentence may have a calculation built from the judgment and credit for time already served. No published Caldwell County good-time formula or weekend-release rule was found.

Scheduled vs. actual release: A date in a sentence or court record is a planning point. Confirm physical departure with the agency that has custody.

Find a Caldwell County Release Date

Start with the agency that now holds the person. The Caldwell jail, MODOC, and a federal custodian keep separate records. A name leaving the county roster may mean community release, transfer to another county, commitment to state prison, or movement in federal custody. Follow the documented chain instead of treating roster absence as proof.

  1. Identify the custody episode. Use the full name, date of birth if known, case number, booking number, or DOC number to separate people with similar names.
  2. For a pretrial or short county-jail matter, review Missouri Case.net for bond, judgment, sentence, or a release-related order. Then call the detention center or ask the sheriff for the calculation and release record.
  3. For a state sentence, open the MODOC Offender Web Search, complete its access check, search by DOC number or name, and open the matching active record.
  4. Read the label beside every date. Do not turn a minimum release date, parole eligibility date, or conditional release date into a promise of departure.
  5. If the public result is incomplete, use the MODOC Sunshine Law records channel and request the public sentence calculation, actual release date, release type, and supervision dates.

Caldwell County MODOC Release Fields

MODOC Offender Web Search covers active people committed to or supervised by the state. It does not cover someone whose only custody was a short Caldwell jail booking. Its official notice also says discharged offenders are not included. A blank result therefore does not prove discharge. Search by DOC number when possible, then compare name, identity details, offense, sentence, county of conviction, and the listed institution or supervision district.

The official MODOC search screen shows the statewide name and DOC-number access point:

This interface is for active state records. A Caldwell County jail release still belongs with the sheriff, and a fully discharged state record may require the historical-data route.

Special values also require care. MODOC identifies 99999999 for life, 88888888 for indeterminate or interstate circumstances, and 66666666 for field assessment or investigation. None should be converted into a calendar estimate.

Note: In the MODOC interface reviewed July 26, 2026, a no-result still did not prove discharge because discharged offenders were excluded.

Missouri Rules for Caldwell Release Dates

Missouri does not apply one percentage to every state prisoner. Section 558.019 requires a person convicted of a defined dangerous felony and committed to MODOC to serve a minimum prison term of 85 percent. The statute also describes an age-and-service alternative involving age 70 and at least 40 percent served. This is an eligibility restriction, not a guarantee that release occurs as soon as the threshold is met.

Section 558.011 creates conditional-release portions for many qualifying felony terms. For terms of nine years or less, the conditional-release part is one-third. For terms between nine and fifteen years, it is three years. For terms longer than fifteen years, it is five years, with the prison portion making up the balance. Dangerous felonies and specified repeat commitments are exceptions, and the Parole Board may extend the prison term when the statute allows.

Conditional release moves a person from prison into supervised status for part of the sentence. Parole is a separate board action. Probation is imposed by a court and may occur without a prison release. Earned compliance credits under section 217.703 reduce qualifying community supervision, not the prison term. Those distinctions prevent a supervision end date from being mistaken for a prison release date.

Good-time note: No Caldwell-specific good-time policy was located. Request the jail calculation instead of applying a homemade county formula.

Why Caldwell County Release Dates Change

A projected release date is recalculated when a controlling fact changes. Some changes move the date itself. Others leave the sentence date in place but prevent release to the community. The agency record should identify which event occurred.

FactorPossible effectBest confirmation
Sentence correction or appealChanges the term or legal basis used in computationCourt order and MODOC computation

New court orderMay authorize release, commitment, or continued detentionCourt docket plus custody record

A parole hearing is not a release event. MODOC reports that board decisions normally take eight to twelve weeks, and a favorable direction can remain subject to conditions, release planning, holds, and final processing. The written action and later custody record control.

Note: A detainer may keep someone confined or cause transfer even when the displayed sentence date itself does not change.

Caldwell County Jail Date Calculations

CCDC holds pretrial detainees and people serving short terms, but it also houses people for other counties and the United States Marshals Service. That mixed population makes a local release date especially easy to misread. A Caldwell court order can end the local basis for custody while another county or federal authority still holds the person. A transfer ends CCDC custody without ending incarceration.

For a short county sentence, ask the sheriff for the calculation built from the judgment, sentence length, credit for time served, and any later lawful order. Case.net can show the legal source and the next hearing, but the docket does not replace the jail's operational timestamp. If a precise pickup or same-day custody decision depends on timing, confirm with CCDC at 816-586-5245.

A focused written request should identify the person and one custody episode. Give the full name, known birth date, booking date range, case number, and booking number when available. Ask for the sentence calculation, admission and release timestamps, release type or releasing authority, and transfer destination if public. Electronic delivery and a cost estimate keep the request narrow. Caldwell County says written requests must reach its Custodian of Records, and its initial response is due within three business days. Production may take longer if the custodian explains the delay.

No official source reviewed published a Caldwell County weekend adjustment or county good-time rule. That absence matters. Adding days, subtracting a common credit rate, or shifting a date away from a weekend would invent a policy. The safe result is the date supplied by the jail, labeled as projected until the completed release record exists.

Note: A bond amount or court date can guide planning, but neither is the Caldwell County jail's actual release timestamp.

Caldwell County Historical Release Records

A state offender-search result may disappear after final discharge because the public portal excludes discharged offenders. MODOC's Sunshine channel is the durable state fallback. Its historical holdings cover people currently or formerly supervised, with data reaching as early as 1974 subject to conversion and completeness limits. Ask for a dated record rather than trying to reconstruct a result from a stale screen.

The downloadable working data is updated nightly according to the department page, but it is not a ready-made release roster. Sentence date, length, minimum and maximum release fields, assigned place, county, and completion indicators must be read together. A nightly update does not convert the file into proof of a same-day physical departure. When the calculation matters, request the underlying public record and state the exact date fields needed.

The MODOC historical-record page identifies the formal records path and sentence-data layout:

A focused request should give the DOC number and ask for admission, actual institutional release, release type, supervision start and end, and public sentence-date fields. Section 217.075 makes department offender records public under Chapter 610, subject to medical, other-law, and institutional-security limits.

Confirm Caldwell County Actual Release

Use two sources when timing matters. The court or sentence record explains why a release may occur, while the custodian confirms when it did occur. For CCDC, compare the court event with the sheriff's release record. For state prison, use MODOC's dated release and supervision fields. For a federal prisoner, use the federal locator and appropriate federal record. One system cannot confirm another custodian's action.

VINELink can send notice of a custody change for participating Missouri agencies, but the event still needs source-agency confirmation. Registration and event limits are covered in the Caldwell County VINELink check. A transfer alert or county “released” event may mean the person left one facility for another, especially because CCDC houses outside-county and USMS detainees.

Record the exact date label, the agency name, and the time checked. Then request the actual release record when durable proof is needed. Do not convert a minimum date into release, a parole decision into departure, or the end of Caldwell custody into freedom from all custody.
